The students of the business administration college in the American university in the Emirates took part in the Fintech Hackathon organized by the department of Finance Abu Dhabi with the partnership of BEMyApp based in France. Several participants developed applications consisting of total 13 teams with 4 to 5 students in each team. They performed and pitched in front of the excellencies jury for three minutes. Basel Ahmed Hussein Al-Basara won the 1st prize of AED 20,000 under the team of DOF chain. Mahmoud Fouad Shaban won the 2nd prize of AED 15,000 under the team of TracX.The winning application will be now used by DOF on behalf of the teams. All students received certificates and appreciation for attendance from DOF and the winning teams were called by Abu Dhabi Global Market the following day.
