Postponing All Events Of 2020 In The AUE

College of Media and Mass Communication at the American University in the Emirates (AUE) has postponed all students’ events and activities until further notice, in implementation of the decision of the Ministry of Education to suspend all activities, trips and external and internal school activities within the preventive and precautionary measures to reduce the possibility of transmission of the Covid-19 virus infection (New Corona).
In a related context, the AUE started implementing awareness campaigns to all faculty members and students regarding the infectious diseases by distrusting posters about the virus, promoting hygiene and providing sanitizers all over the university building to ensure health and safety of the public.
Apart from that it is worth mentioning, that the College of Media and Mass communication (CMMC) announced last month a casting call for feature films to all students led by Cinema Vision films production based in the UAE. The students who are interested in the film industry will have a chance to be part of the second chapter of “GHOST” ;the movie and other films entitled “The Billionaire” and “Journey to the future”, to discover and develop talented students and get an opportunity to be participate as trainees in the production stage of Cinema Vision films next projects. The films schedule to be screened in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and GCC in the first stage of launching the movie and later on majority streaming services such as Netflix, Google play and iTunes plus on cable network such as OSN and other Arab TVs.
New date for the casting call and the discussion panel will be shared in the future. This decision has been taken by the university to ensure the safety and health of students, faculty and public.
